The Hingham Cemetery Memorial Fund

 

The Hingham Cemetery Memorial Fund has been established to offer opportunities for families and friends to commemorate a life with or without an interment in the cemetery. Donations to this fund will help support the ongoing programs of the Hingham Cemetery for maintaining and beautifying the grounds in the historical tradition of the past. These endowment gifts are tax-deductible.

Options for individual memorials also include

 

Trees or shrubs with accompanying memorial plaques

 

·             You may select one of the Hingham Cemetery's magnificent trees as a living memorial for yourself or another. These memorials run for a period of 25 years. A selection of trees is available from the superintendent.

 

·             Additional trees and shrubs will be made available in the future, and we will be happy to consider
planting a particular favorite if it meets our criteria.

 

Memorial Benches

 

This program allows the appropriate selection of a new bench in teak, cement, or stone, as a memorial. Each bench will be installed at the location of your choice, taken from a list of available sites. Names and dates, as appropriate, can be engraved either on a bronze plaque or on the bench itself.

 

Landscaping of public open spaces

 

We offer the opportunity to select one of the Cemetery's small public areas for landscaping or planting
with a flower bed as a personal living memorial. A small plaque with the name and dates of the person
you wish to memorialize may be placed in the bed during a specific season or for the whole year from five to twenty-five years.
